Luke 2:14 The angels sing of peace on earth, what is that peace?
John 15:18 The world was not in peace for the world hated Christ
John 14:27 Jesus tells us that the peace he leaves us is different from the world’s peace.
What is this peace then?
Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"
Eph 2:14-18 We have peace with God through His broken body
Col 1:20 We have peace with God through the blood of His cross
Rom 5:1 Through our faith in Jesus Christ we have peace with God
Isaiah 53 We have peace with God because God unleashed all His wrath for us upon the Lamb
Rev 5:6-14 The worthy Lamb wears eternal scars from the wrath of God as payment for peace
John 3:36 Those who do not believe in the Son as Savior and Lord refuse peace with God
