Part IV – The Jewish Trials of Christ
Rom 8:18-39 All things, including the charges brought against us, work for the good
John 18:12-14 Interrogation of Jesus before Annas, the previous high priest
John 18:19-21 Jesus replies to Annas to point out his “trial” was unjust without witnesses
John 18:22-23 Jesus is struck and again reminds them without witnesses, trial was unjust
Deut 17:5-7 Two or more witnesses are required to sentence a stoning to death
John 18:24 Annas sends him to the high priest and the Sanhedrin for trial
Luke 22:66 Trial before the Sanhedrin was held at daybreak to be considered legal
Matt 26:59-60 At first, the crowd was reluctant to produce false testimony

Isaiah 50:6 Jesus prophesies of how He will be treated at the trial
Matt 26:67-68 Christ is beaten and spit on by the Jews
Luke 23:50-54 Joseph was the only council member that did not consent to the Sanhedrin decision
