2 John 1 While the elect lady could be figurative given the references to specific children it is likely a specific church elder
2 John 1-4 Truth is mentioned 5 times in 4 versus and is a fundamental of 1 John
1 John 2 We are to abide in Truth
Col 3:16 We are to let the Truth abide in us and help us help each other
2 John 3 Grace, Mercy, and Peace are identified specifically to ground us further in the fundamentals of Christ.
Eph 2:7-8 Grace is unmerited favor from God despite our sins
Eph 2:4-5 Mercy was granted when we deserve death for our transgressions
Rom 1:18 The wrath of God is upon all unrighteousness
Rom 5:1 We have peace with God because Christ has paid our punishment for sin
2 John 4-6 We are to walk in love as truth has dictated from the beginning

2 John 10-11 This is not meant to drive division over minor disagreements of doctrine but rather to establish the line around the fundamentals of Christ.
