Part II – It’s All in the Name
Acts 4:1-17 Peter and John are arrested for preaching the name of Jesus
Acts 4:18 The devil denies the name of Jesus because he resists His authority
Phil 2:9-11 The name of Christ is above all names
Acts 4:19-22 Peter stands against the Sanhedrin and is threatened
John 20:19 The disciples were hiding from the Jewish leaders only a few months prior
Acts 4:23-30 They pray for boldness not deliverance, for His will not their own
Acts 4:31 The presence of the Lord is sometimes identified physically
Acts 5:12-16 They continue their work openly, some believers come forward, others come for healing
Acts 5:17-18 The disciples are put in jail
Acts 5:19-25 Once freed they did not hide but went right back to the Lord’s work
Acts 5:26-32 Peter stands against the Sanhedrin again
Acts 5:33-42 They are beaten and released but still continue preaching Jesus.
