1 Tim 3:8-13 Deacons are called to serve and are to be tested
Acts 6:1 The Hellenists were Jews from Disaspora that had absorbed the Greek culture
Acts 6:2 Serving tables included handing out the distributions of money to the widows/poor
Acts 6:3-4 The criteria: good repute, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom
1 John 3:24 Keeping the Word is evidence of the Spirit abiding in us
Eph 5:15-21 Walking in wisdom and the Holy Spirit is more than just speaking the Word boldly.
Acts 6:5-6 The first deacons are picked, including Hellenists to unite the body
Acts 6:7 The Word continues to spread and even priests converted
1 John 2:20-27 The anointing of the Holy Spirit grants us wisdom of His Word
Acts 6:8 -10 Stephen performs miracles in His name and defends the Word in the synagogues
