The start of a new year is an opportune time to reflect on the events of the year past, and plan for the year ahead. As you launch into the new year, do you have a plan to dwell in God’s Word on a regular basis? Although we are already a few days into the new year, it’s not too late to set a goal for reading and dive into the Word! Below are links to several plans for reading the Bible this year:

Discipleship Journal: Offers several reading plans, including the “Discipleship Journal Reading Plan” which walks through the entire Bible in a year while providing several “catch-up” days per month to prevent falling behind.

McCheyne: Entire Bible in a year, with the New Testament and Psalms read twice.

Chronological: Plan for reading through the Bible in chronological order.

New Testament: This plan from The Navigators’ Discipleship Journal will take you through the New Testament in five minutes a day, and provides tips for studying and applying the Word.

Blue Letter Bible: Offers several customizable reading plans.

As you consider using one of these plans, check out this article by John Piper on the importance of planning for our spiritual growth and its Biblical basis.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.”

- Jesus

Welcome to our new web presence. We have made many exciting changes that we hope will make it easier for you to stay connected with the church, as well as provide resources for growth in your relationship with Christ.

One of the most exciting resources we have now made available is a podcast of our weekly sermons. Sermon audio may be listen to online, individual sermons may be downloaded, or you may subscribe to our podcast to automatically receive new sermons each week to listen to on your computer or MP3 player.

We have also added a blog and a calendar to keep you up to date with church life. Please take some time to look around and let us know what you think!
